Smart Shopping: Best Clothing Value – Shoes!
Written by Cathy
Like many girls, I battled with my dress size going up and down. While I managed to keep it relatively stable in recent years, there was a time when I was a little more ‘curvy’ than I would have liked (160lbs on my tiny 5’0” frame). I donated those clothes to Goodwill, as I never, ever wanted to see them again. As I move dress sizes down, I throw out my ‘fat’ clothes. I don’t want to have fat clothes. By getting rid of my fat clothes, I make it in-my-face realization if I have to buy a pant size up. I’d rather hit the gym than make the painful purchase to buy a larger size.
The other day, one of my coworkers complimented me on my shoes. This surprised me since they are a pair of Via Spiga I bought about 8 years ago. I bought them on discount for about $60. They are a classic leather, timeless style with a low 1 inch heel. I took good care of them, and only wear them to work (I had different shoes for dancing ‘til I dropped). I realized the one apparel that managed to stay in my closet no matter what my dress size is my shoes.
Finding a good quality pair of shoe is important. Cheap shoes may look cute, but become unbearably uncomfortable at the end of the day. I had a really cute pair of $15 sandals once that never failed to give me blisters. I spend more on high quality brands now, but never pay retail prices (I buy them at discount outlets. More on that later). I try on a lot of them before I buy (Comparison Shopping).
Since my shoes tend to stick around for a while, and are seemingly impervious to ‘the bulge’, they seem to be my best bang for the buck clothing item. Those $60 Via Spiga have cost me an average of $7.50 per year.
I follow the one in-one out rule to avoid amassing an Imelda Marcos collection. If I buy a new pair of shoes, I donate an old pair. This keeps me accountable to avoid buying shoes when I don’t really need them. When I look at a really cute pair of shoes, I think about which shoe at home I would have to let go. I don’t go for sales pitches like, "If you don’t buy it now, someone else will". If the shoes are sold, then I get to keep my money for a little while longer. It’s a shoe for crying out loud. If I don’t buy the shoe now, what will be the consequence? There will be other, CUTER, BETTER shoes than the last!
Or I’ll try to find it on Endless.com or Zappos.com.
What other clothing items do you get good utility out of? Quality leather handbags are also timeless and are resistant to the fashion ebb and flow. As long as they don’t have fringes, ala 1987 Bon Jovi.

When it comes to save I will do anything, There are many good online site where you can save some money and still get a name brand on women’s shoes. for example I got a pair of shoes at http://www.kloxet.com/ for $19.95 plus an extra 10% off. But there are others as well.
eventhough I waste just about all of my daytime hours on the web taking part in online games like facebook poker or mafia wars, I nonetheless like to put aside some spare time to compare a few information sites on occasion and I’m happy to report this latest piece of writing is really rather good and very much more desirable than 50 % the various other junk I read today , anyways i’m off to take up a smattering of hands of zynga poker

I work with the exact same theme on mine yet somehow for whichever reason why it would seem to load speedier on your site despite the fact that the one you have features a little more material. Are you currently using some plugins or widgets which will speed it up? Do you think you might be able to reveal the names so that I can use these in my personal website so twilight eclipse supporters could watch twilight eclipse online trailers and videos faster I would be ever so thankful – thanks ahead of time

Taylor: I’m using the ‘Azul’ template, but modified slightly for my use. I’m not sure why mine loads faster than yours. It may have more to do with your webhost rather than the template. I use Dreamhost as my webhost. They are excellent.

Interesting. I have been trying to deal with my debt for sometime. Most if not all of the debt consolidation or debt settlement companies are scams. I found http://howigotmyselfoutofdebt.org They dont sell anything, they just post about different companies and methods they don’t even promote anyone check it out. I got some good insight there.
